Is there a program on the market that allows you to edit, sort and export your photos all in one place? Yes! Explore the features of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and see how to use it.

Everything at your fingertips

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is one of the programs that is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. It is designed for editing, organizing, cataloging and sharing photos. Its main advantages include saving files in the cloud and accessibility on various electronic devices – you can use it on your phone, computer and browser

It is a comprehensive, convenient and modern program that will be useful for both professional photographers and amateurs.

How to use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom?

In Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, your photos go through all the editing stages one by one – no additional tools are needed. How is this possible? We already explain

Once your photos have been uploaded to the cloud, it’s time to turn on the program and get to sorting. This is where the intelligent Adobe Sensei system comes to the rescue, which constantly analyzes uploaded content and learns faces or specific themes

This allows you to create a separate album for portraits, landscapes or animals in just a few seconds. Geolocation, the function of describing files with keywords, as well as the option of flagging individual photos, marking them with colors and specific ratings will also help you organize.

Now it’s time to edit. Adobe Lightroom does a great job with RAW files, and while it collects a history of modifications, any adjustments you make don’t destroy the source file (they’re lossless). This makes for a very high quality destination file. When it comes to editing tools, there are a lot of them:

  • full color correction (brightness, contrast, exposure, hue, brightness, saturation),
  • noise removal, sharpening,
  • cropping (with the option of quadrupling the pixel size),
  • curvature straightening and correction of optical defects,
  • retouching (removing red eyes and unwanted objects).

You can also use presets – specially prepared and saved color parameters of the program that work a bit like filters – to work. With just one click, you can give your photo a cinematic, dark or futuristic look. This saves a lot of time – especially since you can quickly transfer your selections to all your files.

Once editing is complete, it’s time to export. Due to the aforementioned losslessness, the great quality of the photos allows you to print them in high resolution – even as a book. The program also allows you to create a movie, slideshow or social media post from your photos.

Importantly, finished files do not need to be saved to disk – editing data is stored in the program, which is equivalent to saving space on your computer.

In addition to the features we’ve outlined, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom hides many more possibilities. It’s a practical, constantly improving tool that anyone can learn to use.
